Original Penguin watches have an incredibly rich history which dates right back to the 1950s, when ambitious salesman Abbot Pedersen stumbled upon a stuffed penguin by chance that spawned a brand which was to become globally recognised as one of the world's most iconic. Synonymous with superstars such as Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, Arnold Palmer, Clint Eastwood and Richard Nixon, to name a few, it is easy to see why their watches are due to adorn the wrists of thousands of stylish people this summer! Fantastically creative mixtures of colours and shapes have attracted the attention of many and since 2000, the brand has been thrust back into the limelight once again. In 2003, this vast new audience led to the rebirth of an Original Penguin by Munsingwear, and an alliance with an international fashion house. Penguin's archive of mid-century classics was reworked to reflect today's lifestyle without compromising the heritage or craftsmanship that had made Penguin's name.
